Whether you’re the driver or working near the vehicle, you must be extra careful when the vehicle is backing up. For example, go… never between the vehicle and the object the vehicle is backing up toward. This creates a high risk of being crushed, which is life-threatening.
Always maintain communication with each other (driver and anyone moving near the vehicle).
Also, be sure to stand where you can be seen in the rearview mirrors and/or the backup camera.
And as a driver, you should never back up unless you know exactly where the people around the vehicle are standing.
