During the winter, there is always an increased risk of incidents and near misses. Below is a list of rules and tips to help reduce the risk of near misses.
- Always make sure your workplace is free of ice and snow to significantly reduce the risk of incidents and thereby ensure a safe working environment.
- Do not drive into areas where ice and snow have not been cleared.
- Be methodical in your approach to securing loads and other safety-critical tasks. And don’t let others interrupt or distract you while you’re performing these tasks. It’s okay to speak up!
- Never climb to heights over 2 meters unless adequate fall protection is in place. Even if you want to be solution-oriented and helpful. If a heated discussion arises, contact management.
- Always wear a safety helmet with a chin strap, safety goggles, safety shoes, and Class 3 high-visibility clothing.
