Winter weather is making its presence felt once again, so it’s important to be extra vigilant!
Salt or an equivalent de-icing agent must be used during all loading operations—both direct loading and pre-loading—to minimize the risk of cargo shifting.
Also, be sure to be extra careful when conducting self-inspections of pre-loaded loads (tow bars and load changers).
Those of you who work primarily with direct loading should be especially attentive on site. Don’t skimp on securing your cargo! If you feel unsure about this, contact your colleagues and supervisors to get answers.
Also, be sure to handle notifications and communication with traffic control and loading and unloading locations.
In summary, take as much time as you need to deliver the goods safely.
