SELF-INSPECTION: ALWAYS check the load before departure

For fully loaded flatbeds (Bygel, swap bodies, and pre-loaded trailers), always check the loading of the cargo before departure.

As a driver, it is your responsibility to make sure the cargo is loaded correctly BEFORE you hit the road.

The photos below are a recent example of what can happen during transport if an improperly loaded cargo is not identified.

It’s quite clear that the wall that has pierced through the flatbed is completely misloaded. The point of impact is right between the crossbeams on the flatbed.

Of course, it’s a mistake on the part of those loading the trailer, but regardless, it should never be allowed on the road. That’s where your responsibility as a driver comes into play.

Always contact traffic control in situations like this!

Never take to the roads on a whim!
