Not only does this damage the cargo, but above all, it poses a major safety risk. When the chain eats into the load, the tension is lost, and the load risks shifting—and perhaps even falling off completely—during an evasive maneuver.
That’s why we should never take chances and risk accidents over such a simple measure.
