The photos show 5 struts on the left side and no struts at all on the right side. Struts are the best way to secure the load. Ideally, you should secure the load with struts on both sides. Otherwise, you’ll only achieve 50% effectiveness, as these photos show. If you have five struts, you should use three on one side and two on the other.
This particular type of cargo is extremely dangerous because of its false sense of security. The beams look low, but because the center of gravity lies across the width of the beams, the cargo tips over very easily and must therefore be secured with the utmost care. Using supports minimizes the risk of the beams falling off the flatbed during unloading, and it is therefore very important to use supports on both sides to prevent the cargo from falling off the flatbed.
Of course, great care must be taken during unloading to ensure that the beams do not tip over.
