In light of a serious incident, we would like to emphasize the importance of using the correct type of equipment for the task. At the time of the incident, an A-frame was being moved between the truck’s bed and the trailer’s bed. The lifting hooks used were not the correct size, which led to complications and caused the safety latch to break.
Lifting equipment tailored to the specific task is of the utmost importance. Warehouses should help ensure that hooks of various sizes are available.
