Recently, we have seen an increased frequency of incidents. It is of the utmost importance that upright elements are individually secured so that they cannot tip over, either at the loading site or the unloading site, where the load securing is not released until the element is connected. It is also of the utmost importance that trestles, etc., are securely anchored so that they cannot be dragged along.
We have communicated extensively on this topic via www.betongtransporter.se and, not least, at the safety meeting in Jönköping in January. Nevertheless, incidents still occur, and shipments are still being transported where the items are not individually secured. To further emphasize the importance of securing individual loads, we will impose a penalty of 5,000 SEK in cases where individual load securing has not been applied due to negligence.
