It is always the case that upright items must be secured before the load is released. In winter, it is important to assess the risk posed by horizontal products as well. Loading may take place at temperatures well above freezing, while unloading may occur at sub-freezing temperatures. In such cases, even horizontal products can begin to slide, so ensure that horizontal products are also secured to the crane beforereleasing the load.
